Finally, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus is here! We have the Note 14 Let’s talk about the Note 14 Pro Plus. Now, the Pro Plus was a Note series & it was the most popular series at one time. And it’s slowly changing & now there are other brands launching good phones, especially the under 20 series. You can’t even call it under 20 as it’s under 30 & it’ll be around Rs 30K. Now, we’ve ordered these phones from China. But when they come to India, there won’t be much of a difference. Of course, there’ll be some optimization. Let’s unbox it. This is going to be a quick video but I’m going to tell you what you should expect from the Note 14 Pro Plus.
Let’s start with the white box. First, there’s a sim card tool. Oh, there’s a case & documentation. But this is a case, right? This is very different, it’s unlike the Note series. In the Note series, it’s usually on the side. You know, we’ve created an image but it’s not like that. And then there’s the phone. Oh, it’s hefty! It’s a 90W charger, so that’s nice. I’m going to talk about the Note 14 in the next video, so do subscribe! And then there’s the USB Type A to Type C charging cable. That’s all there is in the box. Let’s keep it aside & look at the phone. As soon as you take it, it feels full & sturdy. There’s a curved front & back & there’s glass on both sides. And let me tell you, the Note series is probably the most durable Note ever. Because you get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 support on the front & Gorilla Glass 7i on the back. And look at that camera module! And one more thing, this time we can seriously say it’s a Pro+. Because it has a telephoto lens, a 50MP telephoto lens. Let’s talk about the camera, it doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack, it has ports & buttons.
The display is a 6.67” 120Hz AMOLED display. And I’ll tell you what, this is a 12bit display, which means it supports 68 billion colours. It has Dolby Vision support on the Xiaomi phones. In fact, we saw in the Note 13 series that it also has Dolby Vision support. So if you want to binge watch at this price range, these are the best phones out there when it comes to display. And it’s a 1.5K resolution display, so the resolution & display panel is good & it’s durable. Let’s talk about the specifications. It comes with the new 7S Gen 3 processor with an AnTuTu score of 7.5L. And it’s a very capable processor. We don’t know if the 8GB or 128GB variants will be launched in India. But in China, only 12GB & 16GB variants are available & not the 8GB variant. And it’s important that they don’t launch the 8GB variant in India.
They should keep the 12GB variant & keep the same price. That’s what’s important. It comes with LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 2.2 storage. If you’re planning to launch it in India, then go for UFS 3.1. Because you’re getting 3.1 storage type phones for Rs 20K. So you need UFS 3.1 & it has 2.2 storage. That’s why the AnTuTu score is a bit low, otherwise it would’ve been a bit high. But the big thing is that it has an amazing 6200mAh battery. It’s size hasn’t increased. The size remains the same because it’s a high density silicon carbon battery. It’s smaller in size but it gives you more capacity & it has 90W charging. So when it comes to specifications & performance, it would be really nice for gaming. Because the chipset is good, the performance is definitely quite good. You can play games at 60FPS. In fact there’s a Chinese game that can play at 120FPS. When it comes to India, we’ll talk about what they’ve optimised.
If they’ve given 90FPS or 120FPS to a game. So we’ll talk about that, do wait for that. But in terms of specifications, performance, display & durability, this is definitely good. This phone can be launched in India in December-Jan. But when it comes to India, I’m hoping it’ll come on Android 15. No, it comes on Android 14 which is based on HyperOS. But it’s a 2-3 months time frame if HyperOS comes with Android 15. And then you have Android 15 out of the box, that’ll be great. I forgot to tell you about the display brightness, it’s 3000 nits now. So it’s a very bright panel, the display is excellent, there’s no question about it. And that’s why it’ll be fun in multimedia, it’ll be a great video viewing experience. And then you also have stereo speakers, which are of good quality. It’s a great phone for multimedia. Now let’s talk about connectivity & sensors. Because when it comes to India, we’ll get to know about the 5G bands.
But yes, there’s IR Blaster, NFC, WiFi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.4, sensors are all there. But let’s move towards the camera because that’s very interesting. This is the only phone where all the camera sensors are of different brands. Because it has a 50MP camera sensor in 50MP plus 8MP. The primary sensor is of the light fusion, not the LYT one. It’s a rebranded light fusion of OmniVision, that’s the primary sensor of 50MP. The sensor is of 8MP Sony, it’s ultra wide. And the telephoto sensor is of Samsung JN1. And in the front, you get a 20MP OmniVision sensor in the selfie. No matter which brand it is, what is the output? Now if I talk about the output, 2 things stand out. The clarity in the photos is really good. Yes, I’ll definitely say it’s a little warm toned. But the clarity is good, the edge cutout is very good. So overall, the camera is very good.
And the best part is that you get 2.5X optical zoom in telephoto. It’s not 3X, it’s 2.5X. So you can take portraits on 1X, 2X & 2.5X. Which really adds a lot of dimension to the camera. And that’s why it’s really good. And we’ve taken photos in different conditions, I’m giving you the G-Drive link below. Do check it out. It’s 2.5X optical, but you get very usable & good photos up to 5X. So you can use the 5X zoom & you can click some really good pictures. If I talk about the video graphics, you can shoot 4K 30FPS in RARE. And you get FHD 1080P in the front. Videos also come out quite good, there’s support for OIS etc. So no problems there. But let me tell you something, when I’m talking to you Xiaomi, if you bring a 200MP camera to India, leave the megapixels & get good cameras. That’s what’s important. This is the telephoto of 55MP, please don’t remove it. We need that telephoto, people really like it. In fact, I talk to a lot of people & they prefer telephotos. So please don’t remove that. And with the durability,
they’ve given a lot of attention to the IP certification. IP66, IP68 & IP69 are certified. In fact, if you keep it in 2m depth water for the whole day, then nothing will happen & they’ve given a certification. In fact, I don’t know how many certificates will come in India, but they’ve given a certification for everything from the line. So yeah, it’s a certified & well certified phone. If it’s durable, how can you forget the drop test? We’ll do it at the end, not at the start. Let’s do this! It’s a heavy phone. 1, 2 & boom! It’s a loud thud! And there’s a 7 on the back. The Victus 2 is fine, but what’s on the back? No, nothing. That’s what the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus is. It’s the Chinese variant, there might be some changes in India & in the camera as well. Wait for that, there might be variants like RAM & ROM. We’ll see & let you know after it arrives, so do wait for that.
